someone special

Today an elderly told me : "there is always someone special out there waiting for you, someone who willingly shower you with all the love. it's just a matter of time when you two meets. " Yes! I always believe in finding true love but does everyone have a life time to spare searching for your rightful partner? I'm afraid the answer is no and that's how cruel the society is. Everyone is given a certain amount of lifespan to carry out his duties in earth, no one is given special privileges for finding their beloved partner. The truth can be harsh at times, but i still choose to believe in this fairytale hypothesis... my rightful one will appear one day. If you are currently engage with someone you love, treasure your lover! Do treasure the time spent together!

He's Just Not That into You

He's Just Not That Into You is a 2009 American romantic comedy film, based on the self-help book by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. The plot chronicles the romantic misadventures of nine individuals in their twenties and thirties. At the core of these multiple stories is Gigi (Ginnifer Goodwin), a young woman who repeatedly misinterprets the signs that men give her about their level of interest in her. At the end, some marriages will be over, some will be just beginning, some old habits will be broken and some new ones will be formed. But one things for sure, if he's not calling you, he's not sleeping with you, if he's married to someone else, or he's sleeping with someone else, chances are HES JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU! A film that makes you realize the real meaning of the word L-O-V-E. It's more complicated than the four letters.

The Time Traveler's Wife

After weeks of reading, i have finally completed the book The Time Traveler's Wife. It's an awesome novel published in 2003 by Audrey Niffenegger. It is a love story about a man, Henry with a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel unpredictably, and about his wife, Clare an artist who has to cope with his frequent absences and dangerous experiences. I know i'm kind of slow in reading, but good things takes time to appreciate right? I simply love this novel! I'm especially moved by the part where Henry wrote a letter for Clare when he's dead. While reading the letter, my emotions was chaotic, it's just like how Clare felt when she reads the letter. Tears were rolling down my cheeks. A really touching novel that you should check it out too!

Whatever Works

An eccentric New Yorker played by Larry David abandons his upper class life to lead a more bohemian existence. He meets a young girl from the south and her family and no two people seem to get along in the entanglements that follow. This is a comedy also starring Ed Begley Jr., Patricia Clarkson, Conleth Hill, Michael McKean, Evan Rachel Wood, and a number of other amusing types. A film watched with amanda, beeting and xue jiao yesterday. Despite the film was kind of narrative, but it is still very funny. I just love the meaning of this film - whatever works. There's just no boundaries and reasons to love, be it age, gender or culture so long that it works out in you life!

soul-mate

I was doing some random blog hopping, and i came across this entry that i find it meaningful to share with you guys:

Dearest friend,

I know that life's been rather tough on you lately, but trust me, things will get better soon. Don't let your failures discourage you. Keep your chin up and don't you dare lose hope. If you can't sleep at night, then stay awake till it's early enough to watch the sunrise. Darkness only exists to show the beauty of the stars. Always remember that sad things happen for a reason and happy things happen for a cause. And most importantly, never forget that even when the rest of the world walks out on you, I'll still be here. I promise. xx

How I wish my friend would say the same thing to me. This is what a real soul-mate is all about.

The Ugly Truth

Just caught the sneak preview of The Ugly Truth with amanda and jie yong today. It is a 2009 American romantic comedy film. Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. She's in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler), a hardcore shock jock who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick. The film is totally awesome! I laughed so hard that i almost got stomach cramps! Btw, there's quite a number of scene with sexual content. Ola-la!

Time Traveler's Wife

Yesterday, i got to meet up with wei kiang, de yan, yao yi and hui for a film that i have been longing to watch - Time Traveler's Wife. It is a touching love film based on Audrey Niffenegger's 2003 novel. The plot: a Chicago librarian, Henry DeTamble has a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel randomly. Though he often disappears from her life for long periods of time, he tries to build a romantic relationship with Clare Abshire, an artist. It's an awesome loving story that you should not miss! Highly recommended! However, as heard from most of my friends, the novel seems to be better than the film. And i'm so gonna read the novel if i got a chance!

senior plus junior

Had an awesome gathering with the senior on last friday. Initially, i thought that the gathering would be kind of weird, since some of us don't really talk to one another that often. However, it turns out to be great! Meet up with wei kiang earlier to shop for a present for the birthday boy - kc and isaac. After the shopping and movie, we meet up with the rest for a wonderful dinner and comical bowling session. And i have to mention this, siew yf was so cool! He manage to catch 2 plush toys from those catching machine with just eight dollars each. I'm just so amazed by his skills! A real fun and hilarious outing!
